Myhill update
Sheringham’s 2026 Myhill campaign ended with defeat in a Quarter-Final match at Mattishall GC on Sunday 26th July.
On a tricky away venue not much went right for SGC in the morning matches and with in fairness some good play from the home team Sheringham were left with a mountain to climb at 0-4 down.
With our afternoon clean sweep at Cromer in the previous round still fresh in the memory the team came out firing in the afternoon matches. John Little/Danny Rouse and Phil Webster/Steve Dunsire recorded wins for the visitors but a 2-2 afternoon scoreline meant an overall 2-6 defeat.
As in recent years it was in the end one away match too many, 7 of our last 8 fixtures in the Myhill competition have been away from home.
Hopefully we’ll get a bit more luck on that front going forward and crack the QF stage and beyond.
